Rocksolid Community Teen Center is celebrating 20 years of making an impact with youth in our community.
Join them on Friday, September 9th, starting at 4:00 pm, as they celebrate with a ribbon cutting at the Rocksolid Community Teen Center facility, 12919 NE 159th Street, Brush Prairie. The community is welcome and invited to attend, including past and present board members, staff, volunteers, and families of past and present Teens.
How does Rocksolid impact the community?
“The impact is meaningful to me because I know that lots of these kids have no place to go after school other than home to an empty house. And because so much of our area is rural, that means just hanging out by themselves. Even those who may live in a neighborhood might not always have the best influencers if left alone. So our program brings them together, where they can be social, taught respect, engage with role models, maybe learn some new skills, do homework, be in a safe space and generally have fun.” – Becky Hanenkrat, Rocksolid Board Member/Volunteer
