  • Ridgefield First Saturday Tailgate Party and Chili Challenge

    Nothing better than a friendly game of football and some hot chili to warm up a cold First Saturday in Ridgefield! Head to Overlook Park on Saturday, February 4, 2017 starting at 11:00 am and enjoy loads of activities like flag football, a Chili Challenge, festive foods, live entertainment, and fun sure to warm your body and spirit.

    The Professional Chili Challenge is going to be fabulous with entries by Country Cafe, Steakburger, Chef Sebastian Carosi, Sportsman’s Steakhouse & Saloon and El Rancho Viejo. Come on down and cast your vote, public tasting will determine the winner! The Amateur Competition is open to anyone who can bring a pot of chili. Winners will be determined by a panel of judges. CASH PRIZES for first and second place: $25 entry fee; $250 grand prize; $100 second prize.

    Browse the Farmers Market and sports related vendors, visit the outdoor Beer Garden by 3Peaks Public House and local food vendors featuring Steakburger.

    The Ridgefield Library will be having a book sale from 10:00-3:00 pm, and Compassion 360 is hosting a Closet Share: Clothing Giveaway & Exchange at the Ridgefield Nazarene Church from 9:00-12:00.
