The Historic Trust and its partners the Community Military Appreciation Committee and the City of Vancouver present a Patriot Day Salute video to remember those who lost their lives during the 9/11 attacks. On this date, 19 years ago, terrorists hijacked airplanes to attack the World Trade Center in New York City and the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Everyone on board the three planes and nearly 3,000 people on the ground were killed. A fourth hijacked plane crashed into a field near Shanksville, Pennsylvania, killing everyone aboard.
The Trust and partners are grateful to the speakers and other participants who generously cooperated in making the video. It will be available to download and view at https://www.thehistorictrust.org/calendar/patriot-day/ on Friday, September 11, 2020. It will also be shown on CVTV on channel 23 at 10:00 a.m. and channel 21 at 1:00 p.m. on September 11, 2020.
“We honor those who paid the ultimate price and acknowledge the people who suffer from the after-effects of the events that unfolded that day,” noted The Historic Trust CEO, David Pearson.
