Because Cancer Never Sleeps.
The American Cancer Society will hold its signature event, Relay for Life, at Columbia River High School beginning at 10 a.m. on July 18 and running until 10 a.m. July 19.
What is Relay for Life? It’s where teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path to raise awareness and money for the fight against cancer. It is a 24 hour event because “Cancer Never Sleeps”.
But, Relay isn’t about taking laps. It’s about coming together in the fight against cancer. It’s a time to remember those lost to this disease and celebrate those who have survived. It’s an opportunity to build hope for a future where cancer no longer threatens the lives of the people we love.
