Recycle Arts Festival Celebrates 10 Years!

hey! sharing is caring :)

The fabulously popular Recycled Arts Festival celebrates a decade of giving new life to landfill-bound items June 27th from 9am to 6pm and 28th from 10am to 4pm, 2015. Esther Short Park will come alive with vendor booths, demonstrations, music, family fun, and more!

Over 150 artists will be displaying their work, from clocks to journals, rugs to metal garden art, purses to sculptures. It is no exaggeration to say, there is something for everyone at this festival!

This award-winning annual event is a great place not only to shop for unique items, but also to get informed. Ask questions. Inquire. Learn how to minimize your carbon footprint, the A to Z’s on recycling and composting, and all about the local groups, businesses, and organizations that make a difference every day. Become a Green Neighbor, Visit the Environmental Services booth, find out about 2good2toss.com, the Habitat for Humanity Store, and the Clark Public Utilities Stream Team. You’ll find the WSU Master Gardeners, Zeb’s Wish Equine Sanctuary, Furry Friends, and Must Love Dogs NW.

Tin Man is the honorary guest of the year, and he needs a heart! Come vote on the winning heart, and let the kids make him one in the Children’s Tent.

Bring school supplies for the The Children’s Sharing Project, which distributes them to Clark County students in need. Bring you own reusable drink container and maybe you’ll win an awesome prize, courtesy of Waste Connections.

Oh my goodness, so much to do and so much to see! Even Eartha the Clown and Heather Pearl the Stilt Walker will be there!

The main stage will be hosting a variety of talent from The Floating Glass Balls and their beachgrass tunes, to the Eccentric Juggler. Music and fun performances will entertain throughout the weekend.

Come for a few hours, or make a weekend out of it, but beware… once you visit this festival, you’ll question yourself before throwing anything in the trash!
