Reading in the Wild for Young Readers

hey! sharing is caring :)

Do your kids like to be outside? Do your little ones like story-time?

Well the City of Vancouver’s Water Resources Education Center has combined both of these with “Reading in the Wild“.

This FREE story-time hour takes reading to the great outdoors in series that is geared for young readers 3 to 6 years old.

Every Thursday, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, the program connects fun stories with nature activities.

What little reader wouldn’t love this?

So come out this Summer from June through September to read, explore, sit under a tree, listen to a story, roam around the garden, and play with the water or critters in the dirt.

Please note: Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian during these activities.

About the Water Center

Vancouver’s Water Resources Education Center opened its doors in February 1996, in concert with an innovative and advanced Marine Park Water Reclamation Facility nearby.

The Water Center plays a key role in boosting awareness about water and welcoming visitors to this unique location along the Columbia River.
