Put on Your Best White Attire to Benefit Vancouver Library

hey! sharing is caring :)

On September 9th, starting at 4:00 pm, the 5th Annual Dinner in White on the Columbia will take place along the Columbia River at the scenic Marina Park at the Port of Camas–Washougal.

This year’s benefit dinner is a collaboration of Fort Vancouver Regional Library Foundation and Friends of the Washougal Community Library in order to raise funds for a much needed new Washougal Community Library.

The Dinner in White on the Columbia is modeled after the exquisite Dîner en Blanc gathering, which started in Paris over 25 years ago.

Each year, this unique event has brought together upwards of 250 people donned in all-white attire ranging from casual to formal.

It is a fun and interactive evening as attendees decorate their tables, bring their own dinners and enjoy a spectacular view of Mount Hood, the Columbia River, and a breath-taking sunset.

This year, local artist Elida Field will be painting the gorgeous riverfront scene as guests play lawn games, sip sparkling wine and mingle.

Field’s painting will be sold to the highest bidder during a live auction at the event.

Dinner will start at 6:00 p.m. with the traditional waving of the white napkin.

If packing your own dinner is not your style, there are a few options available, check website for details.

Attendees must be ages 21 and older.
