Pink Lemonade Project has selected Meaghann Ande to lead the Clark County-based non-profit organization. Ande comes to the job with nine years of non-profit experience; most recently at Share in Vancouver.
“I am honored to have been given the privilege and responsibility of leading an organization with such an important mission,” Ande said. She continued, “I have been personally affected by the devastating effects of a family member’s cancer diagnosis and want to provide every support possible for breast cancer survivors and their families.”
Founded in 2010 by Drs. Allen and Cassie Gabriel, Pink Lemonade Project (a 501c3) was created to help support breast cancer survivors. Board Chair Lisa Nisenfeld says the organization is poised to grow and expand its cancer support services in 2019. “Meaghann Ande has experience in the non-profit sector that will help us grow and she has the passion for our mission: supporting our cancer survivors.”
Pink Lemonade Project provides survivors’ retreats and mentorship activities and events. “We have exciting plans for 2019; expanding our reach out into the community,” said Ande. “I’m thrilled to be a part of this important work.”
“Pink Glow” Pink Lemonade Project’s annual fundraiser will be held May 18, 2019, at Ilani Casino in Ridgefield.
