Open Auditions at Magenta Theater for “Rose Colored Glass”

hey! sharing is caring :)
Whether you have large acting resume or it has been a while (like high school), Magenta Theater is an excellent place to get back on stage (or behind the scenes).

On Sunday, March 8th at 2:00pm Magenta will hold open auditions for the upcoming production “Rose Colored Glass”. Set in 1938 Chicago, this story takes place in the back rooms of Lady O’Riley’s pub and Rose Fleishman’s delcatessen. In a series of flashbacks, Lady’s granddaughter Peg remembers how the two mistrustful widows’ friendship blooms as they form a united front in an attempt to bring Rose’s nephew out of Europe before the war.

Acting roles are volunteer only; no pay
Auditions will require a 1 to 2 minute monologue
Please bring a head shot and all schedule conflicts to auditions

Roles to Be Cast:
Lady O’Riley: 60’s Irish Catholic immigrant, owner of Lady O’Riley’s Pub
Rose Fleishman: late 40’s, Austrian Jewish immigrant, owner of Fleishman’s Delicatessen
Peg – able to play 13ish but as the narrator of the play she is older and wiser
