Nominate Your Favorite Tree Hero

hey! sharing is caring :)

Here is your chance to recognize someone you know that has put in volunteer hours, heart and soul to make meaningful improvements to growing or maintaining our community’s urban forest.

This can be individuals, organizations or businesses that have organized tree planting projects, educated others about the benefits of trees, developed creative partnerships in community forestry and many other activities that have inspired community stewardship of the urban forest.

Nominations are being collected until March 14, 2017 for Vancouver Urban Forestry’s 2017 Mac Award. Submission for your favorite “tree heroes” can be done online by clicking here or by calling (360) 487-8308.

The annual Mac Awards will be presented by the Urban Forestry Commission during the City of Vancouver’s Arbor Day celebration at 12:00 PM on April 12th at Clark College.

About the Mac Awards

Established is 2010, the award is named for the late Gordon MacWilliams, a former Urban Forestry commissioner, in honor of his strong commitment to tree stewardship and service to the community.

Each year, the Mac Award is given to those that have made a significant and positive impact on Vancouver’s urban forest.

For more information or questions call (360) 487-8308 or email [email protected].
