Is it possible to have a beautiful garden without using chemicals? You bet it is! Find out how at the 2016 Natural Garden Tour on Sunday, July 17 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. This self-guided garden tour offers a peek into 10 delightful gardens that are maintained through natural gardening techniques.
The tour offers an opportunity to chat with local residents who have learned how to maintain yards without relying on fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides. Meet the host gardeners and gather ideas to make your yard a beautiful and healthy environment for pets and children while protecting local rivers and streams. Different methods include using native plants, conserving water with rain barrels, attracting ladybugs and other beneficial insects, and designing alternatives to traditional lawns.
You can pick up your Free Pass and a copy of the 2016 Garden Tour Booklet at participating locations, or download a copy from Clark County Green Neighbors. This download can be used as your free pass to the tour if you’d prefer not to pick up a hard copy.
