Come Join the (Free) Fun.
Vancouver will be celebrating National Get Outdoors Day at the Water Resources Center (4600 SE Columbia Way) on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 10 am to 3 pm.
This is a free annual event that encourages healthy, active outdoor fun! There will be tons of activities and over 45 booths featuring outdoor activities showing how you can have active fun in your backyard, neighborhood walking trail, state park or national forest.
The weather is supposed to cooperate, so come on down and try your hand at archery, conquer the climbing wall, paddle a canoe, and set up a tent. Meet Smokey the Bear, Woodsy Owl, Ranger Rick, and Garry Oak. You can also take the event challenge for a chance to win the grand prize from REI!
