Your Gateway to the Great Outdoors.

Clark County has a day full of free outdoor fun scheduled at the Fort Vancouver National Historic Site (1001 E Fifth Street, Vancouver)as part of the fourth annual National Get Outdoors Day (GO Day) on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 10 am to 3 pm.

This is a great opportunity for families to experience traditional, and maybe some not so traditional, ways to have fun outdoors. Some of the days activities include Disc Golf, Fishing, Climbing Wall, 1840’s Fur Trapper Camp, Live Animals and the chance to meet Smokey the Bear, Woodsy Owl and Ranger Rick.

Join more than 50 agencies, organizations and businesses for lots of outdoor fun ideas for your backyard, neighborhood walking trail, state park or national forest. Take the event challenge and you could win the Grand Prize from REI!

This event is sponsored by the City of Vancouver, Clark County, National Park Service, Parks Foundation of Clark County, REI, US Army Corps of Engineers, USDA Forest Service, and Vancouver-Clark Parks and Rec.

Now, get outdoors and have some fun!
