Muddy Paws for a Cause to Benefit Four-legged Friends

hey! sharing is caring :)

Rain or shine, all are invited to leash up their four-legged best friends and join fellow dog lovers for a one-mile or three-mile walk in the Cascade Park neighborhood on Saturday, February 5.

After the walk, everyone is invited to the Pup Party, which will include entertainment by the James Van Beek Band and two prize drawings. There will also be treats for everyone, human and canine. Pet owners are asked to bring no more than two dogs, keep their pets on short (six feet or shorter) nonretractable leashes, and come prepared to pick up after their animals. Only dogs that have been spayed and neutered and are well behaved should attend. Participating pups will receive a commemorative bandana.

No pup? No problem! You do not need a dog to participate.

Touchmark at Fairway Village will be lending a paw for this event, which benefits the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society. On-site registration begins at 9:30 a.m. at 2911 S.E. Village Loop in Vancouver’s Fisher’s Landing neighborhood. The three-mile walk starts at 10 a.m. and the one-mile walk at 10:10 a.m. Proceeds from the $25 registration fee will benefit the Washougal-based animal welfare organization. More information about their work is available at: https://wcghs.org.
