The General George C. Marshall Public and Youth Leadership Awards are awarded in recognition of a person’s demonstrated leadership potential, commitment to public service, and strength of character.
These awards were created in cooperation with the Marshall Foundation in Lexington, Virginia, to commemorate General Marshall’s two-year residence at Fort Vancouver, as well as honor the legacy of this world statesman.
Adult Leadership Nominations and Youth Leadership Nominations are now open. All nominations must be received by January 10, 2020.
Adult nomination criteria:
*35 years of age or younger
*a graduate with a four-year college degree
*a resident of Clark County
*committed to public service and demonstrated leadership ability
Youth nomination criteria:
*a senior in high school
*a resident of Clark County
*committed to public service and demonstrated leadership ability
*serve as a role model, motivating others to become involved
