This presentation is part of Magenta Theater‘s “Black Chair Theater” series.
This dramatic and engaging staged reading of “The Sleeper”, explores the life of a suburban mom who is shell-shocked by the new post 9/11 reality and finds herself irresistibly drawn to her son’s tutor, a handsome young man with political leanings far different from her own.
Her “awakening” leads to a bizarre series of events that blow the lid off her previously sheltered existence and changes the lives of all around her.
When does fear overcome truth? You decide on Sept 9th at 7:30 pm (doors open at 7:00 pm).
Written by Catherine Butterfield and directed by David Roberts, this reading is produced by special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
The play does contains adult language and situations, so it is not recommended for younger audiences.
Tickets are on sale starting August 12th and advanced reservations are highly recommended. Click here for more info and to purchase tickets.
