Look Closely! Clark County Family Nature Fun

hey! sharing is caring :)

What better way to enjoy springtime in the Pacific Northwest than some Family Nature Fun. Columbia Springs is holding a fun outdoors look at the natural world around you in a whole new way. Discover the waterbugs that wade in the wetlands, dig out some decomposers, challenge yourself to a scavenger hunt, and see the forest in a whole new way.

The first of an upcoming series of nature events at Columbia Springs is set for this Saturday, April 23, 2022, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. Topics for their Family Nature Fun events include Look Closely, Fish, and Superpowers. Participants will be invited to take part in “tiny hikes,” fish themed games, habitat hunts, nature art activities, and more. At home options will also be provided for those who can’t attend in person. There’s something fun for everyone! No registration is required, and participation is free – though a $5 donation per child is suggested to help cover the cost of supplies. For more information check out the calendar at www.columbiasprings.org/events.

These events are super popular. Over the years, hundreds of kids and families flock to the forest to learn about bugs, plants, birds, and more from talented educators and partners. Nature games are played, young artists are inspired by the beauty of the outdoors, and everyone gets the chance to be a scientist.
