Pearson Field Education Center’s Open Saturdays has reopened with limited attendance on Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Reservations are required and modifications have been made to the facilities and operating procedures to help protect visitors and staff.
Pearson Field Education Center is the ideal location for youth of all ages to experience STEM education through aviation. It features a flight simulator lab, vertical wind table, glider building, historic airplanes and collections on display, and various educational programs.
Prepackaged hands-on STEM activities and supplies will be provided to reduce the spread of germs through surface contact and doors and windows will be open to provide fresh air.
To keep guests, volunteers, and staff safe, new health and safety guidelines have been put into place and all guests must make a reservation online or by phone to attend Open Saturday for a 75 minute visit between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Cost is $7, however, admission is free for those currently receiving SNAP food assistance benefits. Simply verify your information when you make your reservation and show your valid EBT card and photo ID at the front desk when you arrive. Valid for up to four individuals per EBT card.
Other changes include masks to be worn by staff and guests, hand-sanitizing stations, enhanced cleaning protocols, social distancing signage, and online reservations to manage the total number of people in the center at one time. There is also an entry fee of $7 for each individual aged 6 and above.
