Let Your Inner Child Have Some Fun | Chalk the Walks

hey! sharing is caring :)

There is something magical about sidewalk chalk art. You can be walking down the street and then you come across a lovely image or message that brightens the day.

Let your child, and your inner child, out to join the fun on August 15, 2017, for the 7th annual international  #ChalkTheWalks day!

All you need to do to participate is go outside and write an uplifting message in chalk on your sidewalk, driveway or parking lot. Then snap a pic and share your creation on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with #ChalkTheWalks.

Tag your location so everyone can see all the places that have been chalked.

If you are in downtown Vancouver WA on Aug 15th, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, get in on the action with The Joy Team in front of Boomerang (808 Main St.).

Chalk will be provided and inspiring bumper stickers will be given to everyone who comes out and chalks.

Chalk the Walks is a project of The Joy Team, a 501c3 corporation based right here in Vancouver, with the mission of building community by spreading joy, optimism and inspiration.

This event is all about spreading happiness through the power of positive messages and sidewalk chalk. The international event began in 2011 and has spread to all 50 US states and several countries (Australia, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, England, India, Ireland, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand and Norway).

So let your inner child play to add some color and make the world just a little bit happier.

Check out the Facebook event and post photos of your fun chalk messages.
