On March 7th, the Downtown Camas Association (DCA) will come together with local merchants to turn the tide of town to all shades of green. Search for the Lucky Leprechaun, visit with Eartha the clown and her Moluccan cockatoo, enjoy live music, earn raffle tickets, win prizes, and even roast s’mores! The event will run from 5pm to 8pm in the heart of Camas.

Wander into the “Green Zone” and learn how to make the world a greener place with games and information about organic gardening and green alternatives to chemicals. In the Green Zone, you could score free seed packets, pencils made from recycled blue jeans, and more!

Local businesses will be featuring specials, and St. Paddy’s Day themed goodies, including Irish inspired Ale at the pubs and lounges, and a photography exhibit and free chair massages at Blush Salon.

“I love an event where you have lots of fun, learn something along the way, and get to enjoy the amenities of Downtown Camas,” says Carrie Schulstad, Executive Director for the DCA. “Our merchants and our Clark County community do a lot to be environmentally conscious, and it’s good to be aware of that. All the activities create a great reason to come celebrate all that downtown has to offer and of course, being green!”

Watch the Downtown Camas Association Facebook page for updates, and find all the details on the DCA website. Check your closet, dig in your drawers… find some green and head to downtown Camas for a great GO GREEN celebration!
