8th Annual Community Event.
Bring the whole family to the annual Legacy Salmon Creek Healthy Kids Fair taking place Saturday, June 8, 2013 between 10 am and 2 pm. This free event will be held at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital (2211 NE 139th Street, Vancouver).
The Salmon Creek Farmers Market will be back again this year; as well as over 30 booths offering information about kids health and safety. And, since this is a Healthy Kids Fair, there will be tons of fun, hands on activities for kids. Kids can perform surgery on “Surgi-duck”, visit “Germ City”, tour an ambulance, participate in a house fire drill, and even have their face painted!
There will be a helmet sale ($6 for bike helmets), child seat safety checks (make sure yours is installed correctly) and the opportunity to recycle your used or damaged child car seats and bike helmets free of charge.
For the third year, the hospital will also hold a food drive to benefit families and children served by the Children’s Center. Staples such as peanut butter, tuna, canned meat, pasta and sauce, and rice and beans are most needed.
And, if you’re traveling to the Legacy Salmon Creek Healthy Kids Fair by way of I-5; remember it will be closed as work continues on the Salmon Creek Interchange Project. Click here for more information regarding the freeway closure and detour information.
