Join the Cast of Klineline Kids Fishing

hey! sharing is caring :)

This Year is Lucky Number 13.

2012 marks the 13th year of getting kids Hooked on Fishing at the Annual Klineline Kids Fishing Event, taking place on April 14, 2012 at Klineline Pond/Salmon Creek Park (1112 NE 117th St, Salmon Creek).

Klineline Pond is stocked with thousands of trout to give kids the best chance possible of experiencing the “thrill of the catch”. All fishing gear and bait will be provided, and each child will have the chance to catch, clean and keep up to two fish. While there is no guarantee of a catch, all kids will get a Fishing Kids T-Shirt, and get to keep the rod and reel they fished with!

“Over 2,000 children, ages 5-14, along with their parents, are expected to attend and will have the opportunity to experience and learn about the sport of fishing. A “Special Needs Kids Fishing Day” will be dedicated on Friday April 13, 2012.

Presented by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and Klineline Kids Fishing, this program is aimed at getting more kids involved in fishing and building a base for the future stewards of this resource. The “Klineline Kids Fishing” event accomplishes both of these goals. First, it gives the child an opportunity to experience the thrill of catching a fish. Second, educational sessions, offered by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife and local fishing groups, will help the child learn more about fishing and the outdoors.” ~Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife
