The decision to join the military and serve our country is huge, even more so for those high school seniors who choose this as their path after graduation.
On April 20, 2017, at 7:00 pm in the Union High School auditorium (6201 NW Friberg-Strunk Street), you have the opportunity to show your support to these young citizens.
This sixth annual local event, in association with “Our Community Salutes“, recognizes high school seniors who plan to join the military after graduation with an evening in their honor.
Larry Smith, co-chairman of the Community Military Appreciation Committee, will open the program. Other scheduled speakers include Schuyler Hoss, Southwest Washington representative for Governor Jay Inslee; Clark County Councilor John Blom; and John Deeder, superintendent of Evergreen Public Schools, which is hosting the event.
The program will be followed by a reception with cake and ice cream.
