The City of Vancouver is seeking applicants to fill one mid-term position on its Civil Service Commission. The appointee will serve the remainder of the current term, which expires October 31, 2019, and will also serve a subsequent full term, expiring in October 2025. Applications must be received by 5:00 PM, Friday, June 28.
Vancouver’s Civil Service Commission has three citizen members who oversee the administration of Civil Service provisions, rules, and regulations that govern employee hiring, disciplinary actions (including termination), and many important aspects of human resource administration in city government.
Only people who have lived within the Vancouver city limits for at least the last three year are eligible to apply.
The commission meets from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM on the third Wednesday of each month at Vancouver City Hall (415 W. Sixth Street).
