Independence Day Celebrations at Fort Vancouver

While the Independence Day Celebrations at Fort Vancouver will end with an exciting Fireworks extravaganza, the entire day is going to be a BLAST! Come celebrate the Fourth of July at Fort Vancouver National Historic Site all day and into the night on Monday, July 4, 2016 starting at 8 am.

The day will feature live music, games, entertainment, food, demonstrations, tours and more in four entertainment zones starting at noon. Spend the day kicking back on the lush lawns of the Fort Vancouver National Site, grab the kids and enjoy traditional family fun games and entertainment, or party with your friends in the Adult Beverage Pavilion. There will be tons of food options available for purchase there, or feel free to bring your own picnic.


Live music will be performed on two different stages with a wide variety of music genres; starting with the Sing Fourth Teen Vocal Competition, followed by Country, Pop, Blues, Jazz, 80’s, Rock and more.

Other activities throughout the site include Guided walking tours of the Vancouver Barracks, Kids’ Patriotic Parade, $5 admission to reconstructed Fort Vancouver (free for age 15 and under), Arts and crafts and commercial vendors, Tours of the General George C. Marshall House, Costumed interpreters that bring history to life, Hands-on-history tent to see and learn heritage handwork skills, explore aviation-related exhibits at Pearson Air Museum and view vintage aircraft up close, you can even take a Biplane ride at Pearson Field (fee applies), and a Fireworks Prime Viewing area.

Using state of the art fireworks synchronized to music, the 2016 display will once again be launched from Pearson Field at 10:05 pm, providing attendees an amazing and exciting fireworks show.

Online pre-sale Tickets are $5, or $7 at the gate. Prime Viewing tickets are available for $60 (over 21) or $30 (ages 6-20; under 5 are free) and provides a front row experience to the sights, sounds, smells and feel of the fireworks display directly overhead. The Prime viewing Tickets also include a dinner buffet served between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., entertainment beginning at 5 p.m., Access to an exclusive adult beverage pavilion, entry to all the entertainment and family fun available all day in the general event area and an on-site parking pass.
