There’s nothing like the fragrance of fresh lilac in the Spring, and Hulda Klager knew lilac like no other! Thanks to local volunteers fabulously protecting and enhancing her legacy, the Hulda Klager Lilac Gardens is able to invite the public once again to its annual Lilac Days celebration, beginning April 19th. The celebration will continue through Mother’s Day, open all week, from 10am to 4pm.
The amazing Victorian gardens and splendid Lilac gardens are open year ’round, but only during Lilac Days can you tour the historic farmhouse, built in 1889, browse the old carriage barn gift shop, and buy yourself some of the most gorgeous lilac plants around. Proceeds of the lilac celebration fund the care of the gardens and historic buildings.
