Vancouver’s Carnival for Grown Ups.
Remember how much fun school carnivals were when you were growing up? Well, the school carnival has graduated into the “Hooked” event at Columbia Springs!
Now in its fourth year, Columbia Springs annual FUNdraising (emphasis on fun!) event will take place on Friday, August 17, 2012 from 6 pm to 9pm on the beautiful 100 acre Columbia Springs site located at 12208 SE Evergreen Hwy., Vancouver, WA. All proceeds from ticket sales and carnival games will go to support environmental education programs offered at Columbia Springs.
Enjoy live music, delicious local food, wine and beer, and loads of carnival games! Take aim at some prominent Vancouverites in the Dunk Tank hot seat (or should we say “wet seat” ;-) )! Fighting for the Slam Dunk Championship this year are City Councilman Bart Hanson, local businesswoman Heidi Bixby Johnson and real estate associate Jim West. The “dunk tankee” who raises the most money through ticket sales and a live first dunk auction are awarded the Hooked Slam Dunk Championship!
Columbia Springs is a non-profit organization open to the community offering learning opportunities and free hiking trails for all ages. Over 4,500 school children visit each year and your support helps these children connect to the natural world and inspire stewardship in our community.
