Hazel Dell Parade Back in the Saddle Again

hey! sharing is caring :)

Yep, they’re “Back in the Saddle, Again.”

After a two year hiatus, the Hazel Dell Parade of Bands will return Saturday, May 21, 2022.

The Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association puts on the parade each year, which features dozens of high school marching bands from across the region, as well as floats, equestrian entries, and classic vehicles.

The parade will start at 10:30 AM near Clark County Fire District 6 Station at 8800 N.E. Hazel Dell Avenue, then follow a route through Hazel Dell, south on Hazel Dell Avenue, then north on Highway 99, culminating near 78th Street.

Local officials remind residents that they should expect road closures along Hazel Dell Avenue, Highway 99, and parts of NE 63rd street and NE 78th street starting as early as 8:30 on Parade day. The Parade is usually finished and roads re-opened by 1:00 PM that day.

Looking to participate? There’s still time to register online or drop off your entry at the Fire Station before May 13.

Love the Parade? You can’t even imagine how much it takes to put on a Parade. You can help by sponsoring or contributing to the event. Find out how you can help on the Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association website.

The Hazel Dell Parade of Bands is always on Armed Forces Day, the third Saturday in May.
