Are you wanting to prepare your Thanksgiving Dinner with some great, fresh local produce? If you are interested in finding unique and high quality local foods that highlight the best of the season, be sure to visit the Harvest Market on Saturday, November 19, 2016 between 9am and 2pm downtown Vancouver at 6th and Esther (next to Esther Short Park), the same spot as the regular Vancouver Farmers Market.
“We are excited to be offering our Harvest Market the Saturday before Thanksgiving once again. This late season version of our market will focus on all the local bounty for your Thanksgiving Dinner. We encourage you all to stop by and pick up some great food to feed your friends and family.” ~Vancouver Farmers Market
Yes, the Vancouver Farmers Market has closed for the season, so, consider the Harvest Market the encore presentation! Sure, you could head to a big grocery store and find food for your dinner; but heading downtown and visiting with local farmers as you buy your food is so much more fun! I won’t even try to predict the weather for Saturday (rain, sun, snow?), but the market will go on rain or shine. And, if you are a true ‘Couverite, you know a little (or even a LOT) of rain never really hurt anyone. ?
