Get active and stay connected to the community with the new Go Play, Vancouver program. “Go Play, Vancouver” is a series of free weekly activities offered by Vancouver Parks and Recreation starting Monday, December 14, 2020. As an added incentive, there will be prizes involved!

Activities are designed for all ages to promote healthy physical activity and safe exploration of the city’s parks, trails, and natural areas during the coronavirus pandemic. Residency is not required.

Vancouver Parks and Recreation will post a new activity to the “Go Play, Vancouver” webpage on Monday mornings with all the directions and materials needed to participate. Participants must complete the activity and submit the short online participation form to be entered in a drawing featuring prizes from local businesses and organizations. Prize drawings will occur on Tuesdays after submissions have closed for the prior week’s activity. There is no cost to participate in “Go Play, Vancouver” activities.

The first “Go Play, Vancouver” activity is a BINGO game that can be completed at any local park starting Monday, December 14. The prize is a $25 Grow the (360) gift certificate that will be drawn on Tuesday, December 22. Learn more and download your BINGO card at www.cityofvancouver.us/GoPlay.

Vancouver Parks and Recreation is committed to providing safe access to public spaces. “Go Play, Vancouver” participants should adhere to COVID-19 prevention guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and local public health experts, including:

*Stay home if you are feeling ill, experiencing symptoms, or have been in close contact with someone who is diagnosed or has a suspected diagnosis of COVID-19.

*Maintain at least six feet of distance between yourself and people from other households while visiting parks, trails, and natural areas.

*Wear a face covering when physical distancing is difficult or in crowded spaces, even when you are outdoors. A face covering should fit snugly and cover both your nose and mouth.

*Wash or sanitize your hands before and after visiting parks, trails, and natural areas, and whenever you use park amenities like playgrounds or picnic areas.

Now, go outside and have some fun!
