On September 23 at Whole Foods Market (on 160th Avenue), Clark County residents can bring in two free bankers boxes of documents to shred per person from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
This is a great event to protect yourself from identity theft and get rid of old documents that have sensitive information, such as your phone number, Social Security number or bank information.
Types of things to bring in are financial statements, invoices, personal documents, medical bills, pay stubs and tax records.
Please do not bring receipts, junk mail, magazines, catalogs, flyers, brochures or coupons, as these can be recycled in a curbside bin or at other paper recycling containers available in the community.
All shredded materials from this event will be recycled.
So you can not only feel good about protecting yourself, but you are also doing something good for the planet.
