The much anticipated Annual First Friday Camas Poker Tour & Game Night returns on June 2nd from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm.
This family friendly evening, hosted by Downtown Camas Association (DCA) and sponsored by Camas Antiques, will include the downtown poker tour and a number of other games throughout town.
How does the poker tour work? This is fun for the whole family as you collect a “playing card” from each participating merchant and then turn your cards into the dealer at Camas Antiques by 8:00 pm.
The more businesses you visit, the more chances for a great hand.
Prizes are donated by local businesses and will be awarded to the five highest hands.
Poker lists and instructions can be found at the DCA tables at Journey and at participating shops.
While you’re out and about collecting those cards…check out the Ribbon Cutting for the new Mill City Brew Werks addition, arts and crafts for the kiddos, Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid (1969) at the Liberty Theatre and after-hours shopping.
You don’t want to miss the outdoor live music at Mesa (228 NE 4th), as part of their First Friday summer concert series from June through September.
Also, the local art galleries will not disappoint with the local artists featured around the town. The “Come Rain or Come Shine” exhibit will have it’s unveiling at the Second Story Gallery. Camas Gallery will be featuring the renowned Native American artist Lillian Pitt. And Attic Gallery showcasing the art of Arne Westerman in his memory and in his honor.
All and all this evening will be a barrel-of-monkeys as you twister your way through downtown and have fun going after great prizes!
