The fine folks at Clark County Fire District 6 are opening their house to you – and several thousand of your neighbors. Come grab a free hot dog and watch the firefighting display. Or maybe a free soda and catch the lifeflight fly-in. There’s always tons of fun and lots to learn at the District Open House.
The 2016 District 6 Station Open House is this weekend, Saturday, June 4, from noon to 4:00 PM at the Station located at 8800 NE Hazel Dell Avenue. Check out the schedule of events:
– A thrilling Firefighting display: Noon
– K-9 Demonstration by Clark County Sheriff’s Deputies: 1:00 PM
– Lifeflight Fly-in (unless they get a call!) 2:00 PM
– Vehicle Extrication demonstration 3:00 PM
Plus, Peacehealth hospital will offer low-cost bicycle helmets, and a local Eagle Scout Troop is offering free I.D. kits for kids. There will also be a tour of an AMR ambulance, and a chance for kids to learn that rescue personnel are here to help them!
