Want to get your hands dirty? Join the Friends of Trees (FOT) on February 22nd at St Luke’s Church, 426 E 4th Plain Blvd, Vancouver, WA 98663, to help plant 150 trees in West Vancouver neighborhoods. Arrive at 8:30 for coffee and breakfast treats. Planting will begin at 9am. Come dressed for the great Northwest weather, gloves and tools will be supplied. Volunteers will be rewarded with a fabulous potluck lunch provided by grateful neighborhood members!
FOT has been enhancing the beauty and sustainability of our neighborhoods for 25 years. They hold a once per year planting event for each neighborhood and couldn’t do it without the support of the community.
Another upcoming planting event for FOT is for the NE Vancouver neighborhoods on March 15th. Volunteers will meet at LeRoy Haagen Park at 8:45 to help plant about 100 trees in that area. Coffee, breakfast treats, and potluck lunch will be provided.
