On the third Saturday of May every year, Armed Forces Day, thousands of your friends and neighbors gather for an iconic community event. The Hazel Dell Parade of Bands, which has been a part of this community for over 50 years, will march through the streets of Hazel Dell, and with 28 bands and over 120 entries, it is one of the largest parades in the entire Pacific Northwest.
Sponsored by the Hazel Dell/Salmon Creek Business Association, the 53rd annual Hazel Dell Parade will take place on Saturday, May 20, 2017, starting at 10:30 sharp. This year’s theme is “Follow Your Dreams” – as the Parade Grand Marshal is Alicia Cooper, a Skyview High School graduate, Miss Clark County, Miss Washington, and third runner-up in the Miss America contest.
Along with Middle School and High School marching bands from Clark County and surrounding areas, there are also decorated floats, vintage cars, clowns, dancers, fire trucks, horses, and more.
