Annual Parade and Community Celebration.
The Annual Felida Fourth of July Children’s Parade and Celebration will take place on the Monday, the 4th of July, 2011, at Felida Park (off NW 36th Ave and NW 122nd St in Felida) between 11 am and 2:30 pm.
The Felida Neighborhood Association, in partnership with the North Salmon Creek Neighborhood Association and the Hazel Dell Salmon Creek Business Association (and many others;)) invite you to join in this community event.
Wear your favorite red, white and blue, have the kids decorate their bike, trike, or wagon and then march, ride and wave along the streets of Felida (don’t worry, the roads along the parade route will be closed). Just a reminder, all riders must wear helmets and no motorized vehicles, political campaigns or throwing candy! There is a new route this year, so if you are staking out your viewing location be sure to check the Felida Children’s Parade route.
After the parade, hang out at Felida Park for the 4th of July Community Celebration! There will be a free food, beverages, ice cream, face painting, antique fire engine rides, games, entertainment and more! Kids can earn points by participating, learning, asking questions about safety, environment, and community. These points can be redeemed for school supplies, toys, and other prizes.
