Farmers Market Spring Places to Be

hey! sharing is caring :)

Come shop with the Salmon Creek Farmers Market this month at these great venues:

The farmers’ markets of Clark County will be at the Clark PUD Home & Garden Idea Fair, April 27, 28, 29, at the Clark County Fairgrounds. What an opportunity for us all! With space for six vendors a day, Clark PUD has made it possible for not only our fabulous vendors, but also the markets themselves, to gain the visibility of an estimated 20,000 attendees. Participating markets are Salmon Creek, Ridgefield, Camas and Vancouver.

Look for these vendors at the farmers’ market along the midway between the two Exhibit Halls: Russells Bread, Mary Cha flowers, Rick’s Wild Mushrooms, Annella Designs, Backyard County Co-op, Beehive Northwest LLC, Columbia River Smoked Salmon (and sturgeon!), Farm Maid Soap, Gumbo Goddess with its cajun spices and herbs, Honey Bee Girl, Nutz-R-Us, NW Organic Farm, Susan’s Creations Handpainted Glass, We R Nuts, Vance Family Soy Candles and Basil Bob’s Herbs ‘n More.

And in the Plant Sales building, joining other nurseries, are Kigi Nursery and Sustainable Farms, Peace In the Valley Greenhouse and Columbia River High School’s Horticulture Club, all three of which are part of the Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market.

The Salmon Creek Farmers’ Market will offer a sampling of its regular season at Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital on April 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of Legacy’s Earth Day celebration week. Participating vendors are Joy By Jill, Backyard Bounty and Urban Abundance, Ayala Farms (from E. Washington), Moon Bear Farm, NW Organic Farm, Riverwave Foods with gourmet sauces and vinaigrettes, Columbia River Smoked Salmon.

In the spirit of Earth Day, the market also welcomes on April 19, WSU Extension Services Master Gardener Answer Clinic volunteers, Clark County Environmental Services Master Composter and Watershed Steward, Columbia River High School Horticulture Club, Dr. Nadene Neale of Nu-Health Clinic, and NatureScaping and the Wildlife Botanical Gardens.
