Fall Into Some Fun with Our First Responders

Clark County Public Safety Complex Open House.

Remember when you were little and got such a huge thrill when you got to meet a “real life” firefighter or police officer? Well, here’s your chance to relive your childhood and/or share that experience with your child at the Public Safety Complex at the Clark County Fairgrounds annual Open House on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from noon to 4 pm.

This free community event gives you a chance to meet your local firefighters and law enforcement, check out the emergency vehicles on display, and enjoy various demonstrations throughout the day. They will be serving up free hot dogs, chips, popcorn and pop. There will also be a Bounce House, Jr. Firefighter Challenge, Child ID and Fingerprinting, Health Screenings, Community Information, giveaways and more…

New this year, the  PREVENT! Coalition is having their 4th Annual 5K “Walk the Walk” as a kick-off to the open house. “The PREVENT! Coalition and partners are dedicated to supporting healthy, thriving youth to choose a drug-free life. This 5K Walk/Run supports these efforts by bringing community awareness to drug and alcohol prevention as well as raises money for the Teens Care Too Youth Leadership and Prevention Summit, a FREE summit for Clark County Youth.
