Outdoor fun for kids ages 3 to 6 years old! Come to the Water Resources Education Center each Tuesday in September for story time and outside adventures. We read, and you explore!

Birds & Columbia Flyway
As part of the annual Columbia Flyway Wildlife Show join in on the wood carving show and various bird-related activities. Children can paint little wooden birds or color and learn about different types of birds.
September 19th – 10:00 am to 3:00 pm
The Sturgeon Festival
This annual family friendly event is an opportunity for the community to celebrate the Columbia River and it’s ecosystems. Bring the entire family to play and learn through displays about the animals in and around the Columbia River; Birds of Prey show presented by Raptor House; the ever popular fish dissection and the Creature Feature Live Reptile Show. This is a partnership event with the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Throughout the day you will also have the chance to see presentation from guest like the Audubon Society of Portland, Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge and Friends of Trees.

Kids and families can learn about eco-friendly gardens and how to use water wisely in the garden.
November 14th – 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Native American Heritage Month
Join us for the annual observance of Native American Heritage Month. Kids will have fun with hands-on crafts and activities. Families are invited to celebrate and learn more about native cultures.
