Fair Court Coronation Brings Royal Flair

hey! sharing is caring :)

The official Coronation of the 2016 Riverview Community Bank Clark County Fair Court will take place on Saturday, February 6th at the Clark County Fairgrounds inside the main Event Center Exhibit Hall at 5:00 p.m. The Coronation, sponsored by Riverview Community Bank, is an evening dedicated to the beautiful tradition of presenting the Fair Court to the public, media, Fair Board and the local business community. The evening of scrumptious food and entertainment will also include plenty of fun activities and games including a dessert dash and silent auction – so come greet your 2016 Fair Court!

The evening is also the official kick-off of the Fair Court’s outreach into the local community. The court represents the Clark County Fair and the rich agricultural heritage of the area. The Fair Court makes several appearances at events and activities throughout the year, so keep a look out for their next appearance. The Fair Court’s facebook page will list all upcoming appearances.

Of course equestrian skills are a vital part of the Fair Court’s abilities, and they must exhibit these skills throughout their year-long reign. You will see the court riding at regional rodeos, local parades, state fairs and other wonderful events throughout Washington and Oregon. Last year, the Clark County Fair Court won top honors during the Rose Festival Grand Floral Parade – let’s root for a repeat!

The Princesses are: Princess Mikaela is the 16-year-old daughter of Duane Schuman of Ridgefield and Marla Anderson of St. Helens, Oregon. Princess Serenity is the 16-year-old daughter of Shawna Eppers of Woodland. Princess Shaylee is the 16-year-old daughter of Todd & Sheridan Coleman of Brush Prairie.

“I look forward to the community meeting these three exceptional young women who represent the Fair and our wonderful community. I encourage everyone to take a moment to greet these young women and wish them well for their fun year ahead!” said Matthew Ferris, Director of Marketing for the Clark County Fair.

Tickets are $15 Advance ($20 at the door, although a limited number of tickets at the door will be available). Call 360-397-6180 for information or to purchase tickets, or visit the Clark County Fair page for details.
