Check out the first Repair Cafe of 2019 at ReTails Thrift Store (5000 E. 4th Plain Blvd.) on Tuesday, January 15th from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. While you’re there, be sure to shop all the treasures ReTails has in store.
Let the skilled “fixers” repair your broken items. Their goal is to keep items out of our landfills, conserve resources, save money, and share skills in the community.
Items that can be brought include clothing, small home appliances, electronics, jewelry, or tools/knives that need sharpening and fixers will try to repair them or even teach you how to fix them. It is asked to bring one item per person or you will need to re-enter the line for each item. If there are parts that are needed to fix your item, please bring them with you. Items need to be of a manageable size that can easily be carried in and out. Do not bring items that are leaking, dangerous, dirty or have a strong odor. It is not guaranteed items can or will be fixed or that while attempting to fix the item it won’t break more, but fixers will do their best.
