If you have kids, you know how fast they can grow out of clothes; and for families on a tight budget, keeping your kids in clothes that fit can be a concern.
So, what if families in need could get free clothes for their kids ages 0 to 19? Guess what? They can, thanks to God’s Closet.
God’s Closet collects new and gently used children’s clothes and shoes, then once a quarter they offer Free Shop Days and give the clothes out free! Only a small entrance fee is charged per family (usually $1.00).
There are no requirements to receive donations from God’s Closet. If you are a family in need of clothes for your children “we invite you to join us for our Free Shop-day Event where you can take “free of charge” clothes for your children.” God’s Closet offers clothes for children from newborn to teenager.
There is a lot of work to be done before the actual shopping begins. There will be two Volunteer Community Sort Days (Wednesday, January 3o and Thursday, January 31). As an added benefit, those who volunteer at least three hours on either sort day will be welcomed to join the “Gold Star Shoppers” line. Gold Star shoppers will be able to start shopping at 9:00 a.m. or as soon as they arrive (skip the long line) and receive a 3rd shopping bag.
They are always in need of donated clothing. If you would like to help and be a blessing to a family in need by donating your gently used children’s clothes and shoes, please contact them. God’s closet cannot exist without your donations of clothing and/or time.
