Clark County middle and high school students are invited to join the party!

This free celebration will have food, swimming, basketball, a DJ, video games, table games, giveaways and prizes. Youth must bring their own locks for lockers.

What is the party for? Well, because Prevention is a Party. The drug- and alcohol-free celebration for youth will be held at the Firstenburg Community Center, 700 NE 136th Ave on April 19 from 8:00 PM to 10:30 PM.

Peer educators from Clark County’s STASHA program are hosting the event in partnership with Firstenburg Center’s Teen Late Night program.

Prevention research consistently shows that youth are less likely to use substances if they are affiliated with friends who provide positive peer support, have good coping skills, have access to healthy leisure activities, and are in a community that is against substance use.

For more information about Prevention is a Party or STASHA, please contact Alaina Green, program coordinator, at 564.397.5841 or [email protected]

STASHA (pronounced stay-shuh) stands for Strong Teens Against Substances, Hazards and Abuse. STASHA Peer Educators are Clark County youth between the ages of 12-19. STASHA educators work to prevent substance abuse among their peers and within their community.
