If you’re ready to get inspired, get educated or just get started on your next home improvement project, the 28th annual Clark Public Utilities Home and Garden Idea Fair at the Clark County Event Center should be on your to-do list.
The show will be held on April 26-28, 2019 and will feature hundreds of ideas on how to make your home, yard and garden a more beautiful, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly place.
Peruse a showcase of full-size landscape displays, shop one of the region’s largest plant sales, visit the Innovation Home built by New Tradition Homes.
There are lots of hands-on activities in the KidZone the whole family can enjoy, and the Salmon Creek Farmers Market will be out front on the midway with fresh, unique seasonal produce, wholesome food, and handmade or repurposed crafts primarily from neighboring farms, artisans and small businesses.
Clark Public Utilities will offer free CFL recycling at the Home and Garden Idea Fair. Collection containers will be located at all fair entrance gates. While supplies last, Clark Public Utilities will give you a voucher to receive two new LED bulbs if you bring in a burned out CFL to recycle. You can redeem vouchers at the Clark Public Utilities display inside the Exhibition Hall.
Admission is free, but donations of non-perishable food items for local food banks or cash for Operation Warm Heart, a program providing home heating grants to families in financial crisis, are encouraged.
Event Center parking is $6 per vehicle. The utility provides free shuttle bus service from the Fisher’s Landing and 99th Street transit stations.
The Clark Public Utilities Home and Garden Idea Fair takes place inside the Clark County Event Center (17402 NE Delfel Rd, Ridgefield) so rain or shine, you’re sure to have a good time!
