On Saturday, May 6th, from 12-6 p.m. English Estate Winery will be holding a celebration of 114 Years of the English family farming in Clark County with tours, a car show, music, wine, and food.
This free event will include tours of the farm and the winery conducted by the English Family at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Music is by local Bluegrass/Folk group Somewhere Between from 1:30-5 p.m. The Flying Eagle A’s Model A Ford car club will be showing ten of their classic vehicles from 12-5 p.m. There will be food for purchase, plus a few local artists showing their wares.
The Bocce court will be open for play throughout the event. Walk the grounds a enjoy views of the Manor House built by the English Family in 1916, the English Barn, built in 1915, grape vines planted as far back as 1980 – and watch out for them chickens!
The English Family opened the winery in 2000 – the oldest winery in Clark County and a member of the Southwest Washington Winery Association. Over the years, the English family has farmed several crops, including potatoes and filberts; and it was also a dairy.
