Earth Friendly Gardening Contest

How Does Your Garden Grow?

WSU Clark County Extension and Clark County Environmental Services announce a natural gardening contest for local gardeners who do not use chemicals. This contest recognizes residents who use earth-friendly practices, such as on-site composting, conserving water, and herbicide- and pesticide-free methods of weed and pest control.

Creating a beautiful yard and garden and caring for the earth can go hand-in-hand. We’ve created this contest to recognize residents who use earth-friendly practices such as on-site composting, conserving water and herbicide- and pesticide-free methods of weed and pest control.

Winners will be selected on the basis of how well they incorporate earth-friendly gardening practices into creating their landscapes. The three top gardeners will be awarded gift certificates worth $250, $155 and $85, respectively.

Gardeners whose yards meet the earth-friendly garden criteria may be featured in a WSU Extension/Clark County educational publication.

Contest deadline is June 25, 2012. For more information click here, or call 360-397-6060 x5738.
