It’s time to bring your favorite dog paddler to the pool on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm during Doggie Dive 2016 at Lake Shore Athletic Club.
Each fall, on the last day of outdoor pool season, Lake Shore Athletic Club opens its pool to our community of dog lovers: it’s like a dog park with a big pool in the middle. There aren’t any official “doggie life guards” on duty, but there will be volunteers in the pool with the dogs to help them in and out and lend a hand to a dog who might be in need of assistance. There’s also a smaller wading pool for nervous dogs, dogs who have never been swimming, or if you are just unsure of your dogs swimming ability.
There is a $15 cost to participate, with funds going to the Humane Society for Southwest Washington. Save time at the event by completing the registration form in advance and bringing it with you on the day of the event. Lake Shore Athletic Club is located at 2401 NW 94th Street, Vancouver.
