Time for the Annual StompFest at Rusty Grape.
While the days of the grape stomp for wine making purposes is long gone, the day for the grape stomp for fun and prizes is just around the corner (and up the hill :-) ) at the Rusty Grape Vineyard in Battle Ground on Saturday, September 25, 2010.
This event is from 12 to 8 pm, is free, and everyone is invited. There will be live music throughout the day with Kirby Swatosh, Robert and Jessica, and Carrie Cunningham; Bones Steak and Chop House will be there serving up some delicious dishes; and “crazy people stomping grapes to win prizes”! So, grab a partner and jump into a barrel (actually a 1/2 barrel) full of grapes; whoever stomps the most juice, WINS! Then relax, have a glass of wine (NOT made with the stomped grape juice!), and enjoy the last remnants of summer.
