Cruisin’ the Gut in Vancouver USA

hey! sharing is caring :)

Strut Your Stuff in the ‘Couve.

If you got it, flaunt it! The 3rd Annual Cruisin’ the Gut will take place on Saturday, July 16, 2011 where Hot Rods, Klassics, and Kustoms will be cruisin’ down Main Street Vancouver USA from Dairy Queen to Top Shelf beginning around 5 pm.

If it looks cool, or sounds cool, bring it on down! There is no pre-registration or fee to participate, or to watch; and, with over 20 city blocks of cruising this year, you’re sure to get a great viewing spot! Cars will begin at Dairy Queen (28th & Main), and pass by Vancouver Pizza Company, Tip Top Tavern, Pop Culture, Brickhouse Bar & Grill, Charlie’s Bistro, Kiggins Theater, Main Event Sports Bar, and Top Shelf (and, of course, everything in between 8-) ).

The Kiggins Theater will be celebrating their Grand Re-Opening the night of the cruise with a special FREE viewing of American Graffiti (donations graciously accepted).

Rick from Flashback Entertainment will be providing Cruise Tunes the night of Cruisin’ the Gut only, so “Tune to the Cruise, the Cruise to the Tunes!” (97.9 FM).

And, don’t forget to bring a non-perishable food donation for Share Vancouver; drop off on the north side of Dairy Queen parking lot. Bring 3 or more cans of food and receive a free Dash Plaque (while supplies last).

More than 1,500 classic cars are expected to be on display along “The Gut,” as Main Street was known during the cruising era of the 1950s, ‘60s and ‘70s. For more information, contact event coordinator Phil Medina at [email protected].
