What do you get when you combine hot rods, local eats & drink, and great entertainment…you get Crusin’ the Gut, the brain child of Phil Medina. Phil grew up with a great appreciation for classic cars and focused this love into a community event where all cars and car clubs were welcome. The first annual Cruisin’ the Gut was held on July 18, 2009.
Flash forward to 2014 and this free event has gained the support of the community, growing bigger and better with 22 blocks of cruising and entertainment.
This year Crusin’ the Gut will be collecting food donation and raises funds for the Share House. Bring the whole family to enjoy the day cruising Main Street, eating at the many downtown restaurants, and seeing all the fabulous cars and shops along the way. Bring three or more cans of food to receive a dash plaque to commemorate the event.
No registration is required for vehicles, so if you have a classic car, bring it on out and cruise along Main St. from 28th to 6th Street.
Several local businesses have stepped up to add to the fun with activities include movies all day at The Kiggins Theater, Motor Cycle Round up at 9th & Main, Turtle Place Car Show, and live music.
So whether you like to cruise or just enjoy watching the cool rides, come out all day on July 19th…come early and stay late.
